Almonds and Caju small foods with over-powers

Did you know that almonds have strong antioxidant effects, preventing intestinal illness? Did you know that caju seeds drive away depression and anxiety?

Do you know that “The strong essences are kept in the small bottles”? We are not talking about potions or tinctures, but about small super foods that store many beneficial properties for your body. Today’s head: almonds and caju.

1. Almonds

Although they are considered to be “nuts,” almonds are almonds seeds, peaches and plums. Migdal is a tree appreciated for thousands of years in the Middle East, India and North America. In need of a certain type of climate, our country has not managed to cultivate it. Whats you do not like about that “miracle of nature”?

Almond flowers are so delicate and aesthetically pleasing that even the famous painter Van Gogh was fascinated by them and transposed them into a series of paintings in the nineteenth century. In addition, the seeds of this tree – the all-day almonds – can be consumed in a variety of ways: snack, cake or salted food in highly nutritious vegetable milk and beneficial to lactose intolerance.

In addition, the bitter almonds also make the amaretto drink, a very aromatic drink that you can add in cakes for a more intense flavor.

What the almonds contain

Almonds contain vitamin E, fiber, protein, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, copper, potassium, manganese, biotin, zinc, essential fatty acids, riboflavin. Did you know that 10 almonds are needed daily to ensure the daily calcium requirement? Or that they have powerful antioxidant effects, preventing intestinal illness? And it helps slow the absorption of sugar in the body, which means you will have more energy and less fat in the tissues?

2. Caju

The Caju tree was brought from South America by the Portuguese explorers, and from there it spread to countries with high temperatures to allow for its cultivation. We consume the seeds of the caju fruit, which resembles an apple which grows a can of nuts. Although they are healthy and sour, attention to the calories, because 100g caju means 553 calories.

What the caju contains

Seeds of caju contain calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium. For vegan-vegetarians it is an important source of iron, 30g caju providing 2 milligrams of this mineral (as a landmark, a woman needs 14.8 milligrams per day and a man of 8.7 milligrams). Did you know that it helps to strengthen the bone, correct nerve / muscle functioning and optimal blood pressure? Or that drives depression and anxiety, regulates sleep and protects your eyes from ultra-violet rays?

And because we are still wondering how some celebrities manage to look so good, find out that they are also due to the fact that they appreciate the benefits of nuts and seeds in general. An example is actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who in her cookbook tells us how the walnuts and almonds can be incorporated in a savory recipe: they are seed and chocolate bars that you can easily prepare at home.

Recipe savory with almonds and caju

ingredients:

1 cup of raw caju

½ cup of almonds

½ cup of dates

½ cup of peanut butter

¼ cup maple syrup

¼ honey

½ cup of coconut

½ cup of coconut flakes

½ spoon of vanilla extract

¼ spoon ground cinnamon

1½ cup with cocoa chips for baking (60% cocoa)

1½ tablespoon coconut oil

Preparation Mode:

Prepare a tray, cover with aluminum foil and grease it with a little coconut oil.

Shake the caju and almonds in the blender, add dates, cinnamon, peanut butter, maple syrup, honey, coconut, coconut and vanilla extract. Mix them until it becomes a sticky composition.

Put everything in the tray and uniformize the composition. Cover the tray and put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Once the composition has hardened, put the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-friendly bowl. Leave them in the microwave until they melt, stirring from minute to minute. After that, pour the chocolate over the refrigerator. Cool the “cake” until the chocolate strengthens.

Cut the cake-shaped cake and … voila! A sweet, sweet and full of nutritious dessert.

That sounds good, is not it? If you want a less sweet dessert, know that you can reduce the amount of honey or maple syrup, it all depends on you. In addition, you will not feel guilty that you have enjoyed it, knowing how many benefits it brings to you. For, before science says, food must remain a reason for pleasure and joy, is not it?
